Coral Penelope Lambert is internationally recognized for producing commanding sculpture primarily in fabricated and cast metal that expand into ephemeral works exploring process. She is Professor of Sculpture and Director of the National Casting Center Foundry at Alfred University.
Receiving her MFA in 1990, Lambert studied at Central School of Art, Canterbury School of Art and Manchester Met University. She immigrated to America from the UK in 1994 as an International Research Fellow at the University of Minnesota. Lambert Co-chaired the 5th International Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art in 2006 taking it overseas for the first time to the World Heritage site of Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale, UK.
